Endress+Hauser invests in Freiburg, Germany

The Group plans to consolidate activities on a new corporate campus

Data de publicação: 18.12.2025

Over the next few years, Endress+Hauser will develop its own corporate campus in Freiburg, Germany. For this purpose, the Swiss specialist in measurement and automation technology has acquired a plot of land measuring about 20,000 square meters in the city’s Green Industry Park from a commercial real estate development agency (Freiburg-S-Wirtschaftsimmobilien GmbH & Co. KG).

The Group plans to consolidate around 450 jobs there that are currently spread across the Freiburg region. The overall project is estimated to cost in the high tens of millions in euros.

The initial designs are for a six-story office building with a restaurant and training rooms, as well as a two-story production building that can be expanded as needed, together offering more than 15,000 square meters of usable space.

A landscaped green area between the buildings will help create a pleasant working environment. “We are investing in future viability, sustainability and competitiveness, and creating attractive workplaces, efficient processes and space for further growth,” says CEO Dr Peter Selders.

The Freiburg offices of the IT service provider Endress+Hauser InfoServe are scheduled to move to the new campus. In addition, the production of analyzers for gas and dust measurement by Endress+Hauser SICK will be consolidated there.

This area of the joint venture with SICK includes the production sites in Reute and Hochdorf, Germany, as well as several logistics facilities. It is also planned to relocate some of Endress+Hauser Germany’s sales and service staff who are currently based in Waldkirch-Kollnau to Freiburg.

“We support our customers in their sustainable transformation and want to become more sustainable as a company ourselves. That’s why we are placing great importance on sustainable building concepts and efficient operating technology for our company campus in Freiburg – just as we do for all our construction projects,” says Pieter de Koning, Chief Information Officer of the Group, who is driving the project forward. The project is still in the design phase; all key figures are approximate.
